Ringing Inward? Mastering Call Forwarding on Airtel, BSNL, Jio, and Vi

Call Forwarding

In our fast-paced lives, missing phone calls can be frustrating. Whether it’s an important client, a worried parent, or just someone catching up, a missed call can leave us scrambling. Luckily, call forwarding comes to the rescue, ensuring calls reach our ears, even when we’re unavailable.

But navigating the different call forwarding options across major Indian networks like Airtel, BSNL, Jio, and Vi can be daunting. Worry not! This guide will equip you with the knowledge and codes to confidently activate and deactivate call forwarding on any of these networks.

Understanding Call Forwarding Scenarios:

Before diving into codes, let’s explore the types of call forwarding you might need:

Unconditional Forwarding: All calls are diverted to another number, regardless of your availability.

Busy Forwarding: When you’re already on a call, incoming calls are forwarded.

No Answer Forwarding: If you don’t pick up within a predetermined timeframe, calls are diverted.

Unreachable Forwarding: When your phone is switched off or out of network coverage, calls are diverted.

Activating Call Forwarding:

Now, let’s empower you with the magic codes for each network:

  • Unconditional: 21<10-digit number>#
  • Busy: 405<10-digit number>#

Deactivating Call Forwarding:

Simply replace the asterisk (*) with a double hash (##) in the above codes. For example, to deactivate unconditional forwarding on Airtel, dial ##21#.

Bonus Tips:

Remember to replace the placeholder “<10-digit number>” with the actual number you want to forward calls to.

Ensure you have sufficient call forwarding balance before activating the service.

These codes might not work for all prepaid plans, so check your operator’s website for plan-specific information.

Some networks offer call forwarding through their mobile apps as well.

By mastering these codes and understanding the different scenarios, you can ensure you never miss a call again, even when life throws you off the grid. So, go forth and conquer the world of call forwarding with confidence!
